I remember watching the full final table on tv about 3 months ago, he abused the final players something rotten.Non stop crap but harmless stuff, nothing overly personal...you have to play along with him..the heads up guy ( not in video ) just sat there and Tony got to him. Yes his annoying and loud but he is a character.

Yeh I watch this a couple of months ago and thought it was brilliant television, I heard it was all an act, he wasn't even drinking. Its great entainment, but I think he went ott on this table.

I found him very hard to talk to and play with at the table, but a nice guy off the table and very smart, he know's exactly what he's doing and as a great business head. But on the table he just wants to crush you. I know he's planning to make it big in the states now and I think he won the Badboy WPT there recently.

I heard what he done at the WSOP last year was really bad.

    What did he do?

I think he's great for TV poker, you cheer everytime he loses a big hand, and when he does he shuts up and has a face like a smacked arse lol.

    "Sombrero of ass-hats" - splendid :)

Its a long story, but he shout at another player for about and hour, telling him he wasn't good enough to play with him etc and than he talk him into calling him when he had a big hand. The guy nearly left in tears.

I think I posted something about this a while back. I think his abuse of the other players, especialy when he got in to Surindars face and said he was going to tear him apart, should not have been tolerated. Have to hand it to Surinder though for keeping his cool when alot of players would have reacted.

It might be an idea to pin this down, are the youtube posts of espn episodes legal? if not why has nothing been said before?

If I link to a poker article, somewhere on the page there's a link to recordings that can be obtained ilegally via BT or whatever, I can't see how that effects boards?

if someone that has a link on their blog here one day decided to make an entry in their blog and links ilegal material, should the link in the signature then be removed?

I'm more concerned with the fact that that blog had a link to a WPT episode file which is not ok. If it was just the TonyG video or youtube I would be ok with it.

How is this tolerated on televised tournaments - is it only because it will boost ratings? He would be kicked out of most tournies in Dublin for these antics and probably get smacked around outside.

It's tolerated for the simple fact that it sells, the general public hate a bully and love an underdog, people tune in and are gripped to the tv shouting for the underdog to take the bully down. This sort of tv, whilst obnoxious in a general point of view rakes in viewers which in turn means bigger rating, more rating = more advertising and essentialy more money :D

Money makes the world go round.
