Munster or Biarritz?

So who's it going to be?

The team that has fought so hard, got so far for so long without winning the damn thing, or Munster?

The proud representatives of a distinct region much looked down upon by its more populous fellow countrymen and who have suffered many spoilations and massacrres--not least in the 20th century--at the hands of its neighbours, or Munster?

A team which prides itself on its great pack, from a region where the savage prop forward is revered as a god, or Munster?

Looks to me that the two teams are pretty evenly matched and have similar temperaments. Not to mention histories.

    Munster to shade it.

Munster to win....with Peter Stringfellow to score the winning try.

Munster's problems at centre are worrying, but the French side are not without weakness either. They have displayed a lazy arrogance throughout the tournament and only ever done just about enough. Hopefully Munster can unleash another frenzied assault to punish this.

Biarritz also have a predilection for thuggishness, which will hopefully see them missing their first choice hooker for the match, and who knows, maybe Betsen will be slide tackling himself into the bin?

Ah DOC put it Biarritz are Sleeping Gaints.. Its going to be a hell of a game though....But wouldnt go by Biarritzs Recent preformance

I just hope Munster win!!!! I'll be gettin a right lambasting from bitter Leinster fans if Biarritz do it.
If they play as well they did against lein then they're going to win but I know thats asking a lot.

On the verge of crying now. Have an exam at 4.00 on the 20th. Gutted.
Munster to finally live to the expectations and pumel Biarritz is my answer. Think Munster have stood up and been counted all Seasona dn i think the good run of Ireland and the number of players they had in the team will do nothing but help them.

All they have to do is keep the penalty count down and not let that little wizzard Yachvilli near the ball caus he'll kick them all day.

Foley and POC for the games of their lives:) May 20th

For so long we have fallen at the last fence. If we could get Cullen anyway fit, we'd be laughing. I'm asking for alot there though.

I think the 16th man will be the difference for Munster, again.

anyone with a SkyTV guide know which one of the sky sports channels this match will be on?

As to who will win, This is Biarritz first final if i am not mistaken, Munster have experience of heineken cup finals so that should stand in their favour.

The three injuries during tonights game are a concern though.

I feel your pain. Realised on Tuesday that I have a final on the 20th at 2pm so am forced to MISS THE ENTIRE BLOODY THING in my quest for a masters place. Am still distraught. Last time round, I went to Cardiff; this time I'll be in the RDS trying desperately to think of what I know about Mozart. Truly terrible timetabling on UCD's part :(

I'd post a prediction to stay ontopic, but still haven't decided whether it's worse to lose out again, or for Munster to go the distance without my being able to watch them achieve their goal. Sorry, mods ;)

If Munster show any of the hunger and passion they displayed against Leinster they will win the final.

Watched Bia V Bayonne last night....They look good!
As Billy haspointed out however Munster have the experience though and will have a huge "home" advantage i Cardiff.
Unless ROG and Co choke again it will have to be munsters day...and that where the experience comes in!
Goodluck, I ll where a Munster Jersey over in Cardiff that w/e!

Hope Munster do it ... tho biarritz looked pretty awesome in the Bayonne game ( 56-7) ... don,t know if I can bring myself to wear a munster jersey even tho I will be in Cardiff:D

as the modern game is now, the most important areas will be the preformance of the pack espeically the line out and how well the 9, 10 channel functions. You can be very confident that the front 8 will give 100% under the driving force of the big man POC. The main worry I would have if I was a Munster man is to weather or not golden boy (ROG) will turn up with his kicking boots. He is very much a confidence player so when Biarritz start putting the scews on will he come up with the scores, well lets hope so

I really can't see Munster losing. When they make the effort (i.e. outside of the Celtic League) then they are an awesome force. Easily the strongest team in Europe. And I suspect they'll prove it next Saturday. COME ON MUNSTER.

That wouldnt be as bad as if and when Munster win. . .we'll never hear the end of it (and they'll make a show and DVD out of it).

    So?

It would be bad if they did the DVD if the didn't win. A bit like Brian O'Driscolls Lions Tour DVD when he didn't even play for most of it.:p
They'll have every right to gloat if they win.
I REALLY REALLY hope they win.

u hit the nail on the head there, if ROG has a good day it will work. Biarritz are good and they will pick on him.
