This one is going to be a main event to end all main events for sure! Not since Muhammed Ali fought George Foreman has a match-up had such potential for fireworks!

My pick for this match is Greg Loughran, I think that Greg has the compusure and the experience to face that fastest rising SBG prospect, and I think he can beat him on home (away from home) ground!

Greg has good enough ground skills to handle Arni and I don't see either of them submitting each other, Greg also has the stand up acumen to bring it to the Ice Viking hard from the first bell. I reckon this fight will hinge on who gets the takedowns more consistently, and I am backing Greg to get on top, and STAY on top to grind out a decision win.

My prediction for the Ring of Truth main event:
Greg Loughran by 3 round gruelling decision

I disagree! Arni's experience might be less in terms of time in, but he's had a lot of tough fights in a short space of time. Greg Loughran really impressed me against Francis Heagney, keeping his cool on the ground to submit him.

I agree that it won't end in a submission though. I think they'll both be too savvy but I see Arni taking this by decision. No doubt though this is going to be a hell of a fight!

I have seen the Ice Viking in action and I think he will take this fight. His jits has just gone through the roof. His thai background is coming in very handy his kicking kneeing and punch are superb. Not to mention he is strong in the clinch.

He is very strong in all three areas, stand up, clinch and ground.

On a side note does anyone know who has volunteered for the ass whoopping of John Kavanagh.

    Hi John,

I heard about some of your lads winning down in Limerick...well done. Without being rude [I hope] you haven't fought in an mma bout in about 3 years and I know you won a grappling/submission competition a few weeks ago...but how are you feeling about this match?

No one knows who you are fighting...is the guy even in your weight category or are you hunting giants?

Either way best of luck tomorrow. :)

Just to clarify, Owen had sold all his tickets as of last night, until at the weigh in today, a friend who he was holding 3 tickets for called and said he couldnt go. 3 NG guys had been looking for tickets, so they went quick smart. Show is a sell out I have no doubt, oh and i have best seat in the house. :D

ah here, I was attempting a joke at my fortune on getting a ticket after the event had sold out.

That and an obviously bad choice of words on my behalf :o
