    Hi,

The last few days the top of my right foot has been killing me when i walk on concrete or any hard surfaces. It feels like i might of stretched this too far before training earlier in the week.

Does this sound familiar to anyone ? and can anyone recommend what i should do to ease the pain.

    Thanks

What makes you think that you stretched it too far in training? Did you slip, kick a ball too hard, stub your foot, go over on your ankle?

Have you taken anything for the pain? If so what did you take and was it effective?

it was just a guess that i stretched it too far in training.

The pain is bearable so i havent taken anything for it, i am more concerned with not being able to run until it is better.

I was just asking as i thought someone else might of experienced the same problem and might know exactly what it is.

    Thanks

It is hard to know what it is without a physical examination. And as the Mods (quite rightly) do not allow diagnosis on the forums it is useless to speculate.

Your best bet is to get yourself to a good physiotherapist, athletic trainer or sports rehabilitator in your area and let them have a look at it. When you have a diagnosis of what your problem is you can get back to us and we can then speculate/advise and help to the best of our ability.

It doesn't sound like anything too serious but early intervention in any case where you have pain/stiffness or discomfort stops the problem before it gets worse. It will most probably be sorted out in a treament or two.

I might get the same thing as you, and I thing it's because I have fallen arches or something, it happens rarely but you get a horribe feeling in the centre(arch) of your foot, like the skin is about to rip.

grahamor: i used to suffer with the same thing a few months back.
It came and went so i never got it checked out. It seems to have gone now...coinciding with me taking Glusomine sulphate (tesco 600mg a tab) so maybe that help.
Although I started tajking them for another eason altogether
