It's a great castle alright. The OPW did a great job on it.

Did you take any photos from the top of the castle? There is a nice view of Tara from it on a clear day.

If you were from Kerry the football strip looks much the same! The pastoral scene in #1 is worthy of Constable. Keep up the good work.

Great photos. Do you have any more?

Nice town. It probably suffers from being too close to Dublin. Has become a commuter town really.

I agree with peepingtom....contact the tourist board asap! I know a guy who took some pics around county Clare and flogged 2 shots (not half as good as your 2) for 800 euro! Not bad considering his camera was worth about 300 quid! (and he was a Kerry man! ;-)).

    Thanks lads ( and lassies??)

A good few years ago they brought out a brochure for the Trim 600, I think, and lo and behold there in all it's glory was one of my pictures. I mentioned copyright to the official from Meath Co. Co. that was responsible. He couldn't understand what my problem was. Wasn't it all for the good of the town stuff. I asked him if the printer got paid. I never did.

I will submit them to Meath Tourism though. Thanks for the advice. I have a better one of the castle at night which two local auctioneers have used and paid me for ( a pittance but aren't all photographers fools, me anyway). I need to resize it and will post it then over the next few days.

I don't get much time lately for photography and tend to do it in bursts.

Trim, Co. Meath. Have a look at the sticky above "Photography Expedition". A few boardians are thinking of coming down the 1st weekend in May.
