    Hi all

    Here is my set-up at the moment;

    Brand new McIlroy A35C
    BOSE PAS system

    I play with a pianist who also bought the Bose system.

    In your esteemed opionions, what effects should I put on my guitar? Its sound on its own is amazing, from the PAS is phenomenal, but just for a bit of variation, what would you recommend as good effects for an acoustic guitar?

    Thanks all
    Edja

    A bit of reverb/maybe chorus is all you need

    An acoustic like that needs nothing! Hell, acoustics on the whole, need nothing to sound as beautiful as anything. Don't **** with what works man. ;)

    Why spend so much on a near-perfect guitar and then start messing with the sound? Let your fingers do the talking, man.

    Chorus, reverb and delay are probably all you'll ever need. I have a Roland Ac60 which I play my acoustic through and the stereo chorus sound is amazing on it. Not to mention it has one of the best reverbs I've ever heard. They can add that little something extra in a song so I wouldnt rule them out just because you have an expensive guitar

    I've a really good chorus pedal I dont use much (due to the built in chorus on my roland). Its in brand new condition. Have a look here if you're interested:

    I know lads yer right, but its just to add a little something during a song! I don't want to add distortion or any of that muck! Just a little colour!! The McIlroy on its own plugged in....ah lads....its just shockingly and despairingly fabulous....would bring a lump tp your throat, but sometimes, certain songs get lifted with a little something extra!!!!

    well definitly add some chorus, I hardly ever go cleans without chorus, then maybe some light delay or reverb? it wont make too much of a different but add something to it

    A touch of reverb adds a lot to acoustic music I find (I mainly listen to and play acoustic music)
