BF2 Startup Problem

Hi Guys
Sorry if this is a repost , But i could not find one simular when i searched

Im havin problems loading BF2. worked fine all along but now it just hangs as it tries to load the EA Games Splash. All may other EA games play perfect , actually all my other games play perfect ...just BF2 giving the problem

Any ideas

PC Spec: AMD64 3700+ , 939 DFI Lanparty NF4 , X800Gto 256mb, 2Gig Ram Dual Channel

Nope ...have this problem may be 2 weeks after i had install the last patch , and the same with the ATI Drivers , Every thing was patch up dated and it was workin fine no problems then all of a sudden stoped loading

i had the same problem just fixed itsself after loads of reinstalls

Have you tried uninstalling it yet?

LOL im not reinstallin , i was workin fine , there is just something silly that I missed...................


and i think i know what it is , I just remembered I had it in work the day before I when to the last lan and I had DNS added.....this cause problems with call of duty before when loadin..................................son of B****

Just a thought,you say you had it in work?
Maybe you ran it with a different refresh rate and resolution than your home machine?
I had this issue when i went from a CRT monitor to a 4ms LCD.
The game would not boot up as LCD does not support the resolution and refresh rate i was running on the CRT ie 1600X1200 @ 120 hz.
I solved it by connecting the CRT back up to my machine ,then running BF2 and changing resolution and refresh rate back down to 800x600 @ 60hz
Switched back to LCD then upped resolution to native LCD res of 1280X1024 @ 75hz,worked for me.

My problem is the euro force servers. Pain in the hole to reinstall that multiple times...! Any idea of the right order to reinstall?

get ea downloader, d/l the latch patch 350+mb then d/l install EF...
EF installs in a minute...

Euro force servers tell me to use an unmodified version when i try to login. To fully reinstall I have to install BF2, BF2 Special Forces, the 1.22 patch, and BF2 Euro forces. Is there a correct order?

Ok so well I tried removing the DNS number and hey presstoe it worked
