Magnum Force Need Bassist And Vocalist and drummer

Yes Friends, this is your chance to be part of something incredible!!

As Im sure you guessed from the title, we need a vocalist and bassist to complete the line up of Magnum Force. Samples are available on our Myspace page and on our website's downloads and main pages at http://Magnum-Force.rock.com. We are based in South Dublin.

There are plenty of songs written across a slightly varying spectrum of music (why just stick with one kind of music). Its mainly Metal, different styles include Classic Rock (Warrant, Whitesnake, Dio, Helix, Scorpions etc), Power Metal (Manowar, Dragonforce[sort of], Hammerfall etc), good old fasioned Heavy Metal (Judas Priest, W.A.S.P., Grim Reaper, Iron MAiden, NWOBHM stuff etc). with band members influences varying, for me its mostly the above and similar. For others, influences include some of the above and Pantera, Metallica, G 'n' R, Motley Crue, Slayer etc

Vocalists: We need someone who can really belt it out properly, none of this shouty, screamy business, good old fashioned clear vocals that people can understand, have a listen to the songs on either the Myspace page, or there are some newer ones on the main or downloads pages of the website, and you'll get the idea, pardon any mistakes and bum notes, I'm not a vocalist. It would be great to get someone who can do high notes but in Ireland thats asking alot, but hopefully not too much.

Bassists: Not looking for anything fancy, just someone who can keep it solid would be fine, someone who can really go for it and kick ass with some great bass lines and solos would be even better though.

Our ages are in the 18/19/20 bracket but not really to fussy on the ages of prospective band members once you're not too young (have to be able to get into pubs to play gigs!) and not too old (we dont want to look odd playing with a forty year old on stage with us, no offence to forty year olds)

No gigging experience nessesary!!

You gotta have characture and energy and want to spend your days and nights playing and drinking!

Hmm, are you sure you'd be comfortable(or whatever the word im looking for is) singing metal? you're certainly a capable singer but i dont know how happy you'd be singing our songs. but prove me wrong if im wrong!

Depends what you want to do... if you're talking more classic rock, then yeah, legend... but if you're talking about screaming, yeah, I'd have to pass. If you listen to the www.myspace.com/kemosabemusic stuff, that's more rockin then the acoustic solo stuff. But it all depends on what you want to do... if you just plan to be a band that mimics other bands in the metal genre, then that's a bit of a no starter... but if you're planning on just writing your own music without trying desperately to fit into a genre, then theres potential there.

Well being that the world is kinda runing out of music, its hard these days not to sound like someone else thats around or has gone before. We dont want to mimic anyone, my songs (and any resulting from any current and forthcoming collaberations between band members) draw influence from them and we produce our own stuff in our own style.

The trouble is I have songs on the classic rock side that would suit your voice but then i have the other songs which are metal and most likely wouldnt. And I wouldnt be able to settle for just playing either only the classic rock songs or only the metal songs.

I'll tell ya this for nothing, finding band members in Ireland has to be the most difficult thing ever!

It appears the songs on the downloads page of our site are unavailable due to the fact that the stupid ****ing file hosting site decided to delete everything I had uploaded and wont let me upload anything at the moment. There are streaming samples on the main page of the website however and I will try to get the others up again soon.

Oh and the ****ing webspace deleted all my files again, and this was even a different one! ahhh its annoying. Ill try have them back up in a few days, there's still tracks up on myspace though.

Theres a few bass players around alright but they're still hard to find, i think they hide.

Also a guitarist and decent drummer, vocals are good for backing.....

Mods! if your gonna merge my two threads together then first of all will you tell me beforehand and second of all will you actually include the information that was in the other thread, i had a whole paragraph about what we are looking for in a drummer in the other thread and you've just gone and deleted it, thanks a fùcking lot! would have been that much work to just copy and paste??! I cant even remember what I included in the requirements now!
