RTE have the rights to A1GP next season?

    I just noticed that on the Team Ireland A1GP site that theres an RTE logo plastered on it? I presume this means that they'll have coverage of it next season because otherwise they'd have no reason to have the logo on the site?

    If they do then it'll be a great coo for them because I loved the debut season of Forumula Flip/A1GP.

    Sorry if this is already widespread knowledge btw.

    i hate A1 GP.
    formula 1, i like but the indy racing league is class. champ cars i watch now and again, i liked it when it was CART. but the problem with champ cars is that a good talented driver ( like bourdies, i think thats how you spell it) has no compitition.

    A1GP has a multiyear deal with Sky, which covers Ireland, so unless they get out of that deal (and I think they're trying) RTE can't have full coverage. Will probably just continue with the badly edited highlights persented by uber-muppet Collins.

    I'm the webmaster for www.a1teamireland.ie and the reason i understand for the logo (i was told to put it there) is because RTE do a highlights show during the week after each race. As they did last season.
    No live coverage unfortunatly on RTE. :(

    Just thought I'd bring this up because I've learned that Sky Sports are retaining their rights to broadcast live a1gp for the 06-07 season but are allowing a delayed broadcast be shown on a terrestrial channel which I think is good news :)
