Problems connecting via bluetooth

I'm trying to connect my laptop to my Nokia 6230i using the Nokia PC Suite via bluetooth. I get the message "Cannot use the connection type, check hardware and drivers". This is before it gets as far as searching for the phone. My control panel tells me that Bluetooth is switched on and working. Any idea on what software/drivers I need to install ? Thanks.
