Enda and Europerson were up here about an hour ago and they won the ticket.

The clue was to check the cans of Red Bull in the SU Shop for the next clue.

    I know the answer:

Go to the 1st floor, past the bookshop, follow the corridor all the way down to the end and go last door on the right.

Give the person there some generalised punching until he makes some comment about red or bull and you get a free ticket! Easy!

Enda and I had a great time doing the treasure hunt. It really was a lot of fun! Free ticket for me! Yay!

    It's elementary, really.
Did u really get the ticket? There was another clue where did it lead to?
There are no physical tickets yet: Niall Hughes took the relevant details and said he'd be in touch. There were four clues in total, with claiming information at the fifth site.

I actually figured out the second clue but it was blocked by a poster obviously by some other people on the trail.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,945 ✭✭✭cuckoo

This treasure hunt idea is good - there should be cameras following desperate people as they run around the college all week, try diversionary tactics to throw the competition off the trail, obscure clues with posters, and fall over piles of non flying pigs.

I could be completely wrong here, but does anyone think today's clue ("Everybody Walk The Dinosaur") could have something to do with the Was Not Was song, and perhaps the following lyrics of the song "open the door, get on the floor" might be what you have to do?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 222 ✭✭Black_Couch

House six gives u wings led to under the red bull in the su shop.

The next clue was goldfinger jabba. jabba the hutts from starwars (google).

Then i checked the huts but couldn't find anything. I think whoever gets there first is taking down the clues. The sticker had been scraped at a bit when i saw the first clue.

What was today's? and where did the other clues lead to?? I didn't see the relevance of goldfinger. I thought it was something to do with the du filmmakers or something.

goldfinger uses a laser in the film to try to kill bond...

Today's clue: "Everybody walk the dinosaur".

With thanks to Kev, I checked out the Museum building, where there was a clue that said "Fun, anyone?". From there, I'm stumped..tried the gamers society but no luck there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

Isn't "Fun, anyone?" the slogan for some company?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

...thanks to kev?? I SAID THAT YOU BOLLOCKS! :D

Right yeah goldfinger jabba was quite a good clue. I was going to check the museum building today but it was too late. The ticket on monday was found at about 1 or so I heard.

dude when yer site banned its always advisable to stay under the radar....

Not kev's strong point. anyway, an interesting situation today - the first clue was "147" - which was the snooker rooms. the clue there was "IS man" - which pointed to SNIAMS. from here it was "Non Stop" - 24 hour reading room, and then "Coffee IS snack" - which led to IS services.

the only problem with this is the fat that people read IS man as the second clue, scoured AAP, and found the clue after that :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,314 ✭✭✭Nietzschean

lol, awww poor neil, Non Stop to mean the 24hr reading rooms is a bit of a stretch no? could it not just as easily be 24hr comp labs or laserhuts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

well we found the clue in the 24rd reading room anyhow :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,945 ✭✭✭cuckoo

Some of those clues are clever.

Are there lots of people doing a Challenge Anika run around, or is it a few souls on a coffee break strolling around after each clue?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,579 ✭✭✭Pet

Anika Rice...ahh I remember her. She was a bit of an annoying sap sometimes though.

I'm still wondering how close I actually got yesterday. I will be REALLY ****ING PISSED OFF if it turns out that I got really close and gave up for nothing.

Hi chel, welcome to boards. For that type of personal message it would probably suit better if you were to send john a pm (private message). You can either click on his name and then click "send john2 private message" or you can go here and type his moniker into the send bar.

I disagree. Stalker sounds more scandalous, hence better.
