What operating system are you using to install it from? Some versions of Windows cannot read the UDF file system (that which is used on DVDs) above the first layer.

Right. What Service Pack is your other PC running? What is your DVD drive? Are you using official, generic or third party drivers?

There is no sp on it. It a Philips DVD/RW 1600 drive. Dont know which 1 it is.

Try installing Windows XPSP2 and then run Windows Update on it. That may help, though I'm not sure.

You should be keeping your computer up to date anyhow, unless you have a damned good reason not to.

    Hi,
You need to create a boot DVD project in the authoring software then put in the files&dirs in the screenshot. What SW are you using to burn ?

Why are you bothering with SP2 ? Are you upgrading to Vista or installing it fresh ?
