    Those swans at Broadmeadows can be vicious sometimes! I wouldn't let them get that close to a child.

    Have seen swans go for people ,serious power from them .
    Was that a 500 zoom lense you were using on a wandering kid ,or a portrait lense with your own child :eek:
    I like architectural photography myself more than almost all others.
    Pitty about the state of the field in your long shot of the bridge.

    Its the GFs nephew... U can feed the swans from ur hand down there... They're to fat to move fast.. They're very peacefull.. Was able to get within a few inch's of em n take pics n they dont move or hiss at u....

    He gets his lack of fear from his mother... His biggest problem was everytime we gave him some bread he ate it..... Kids..

    I love the pictures of the motorway, especially the one taken from underneath looking towards the horizon. Very enviromentalist. I love it.

    I don't want to hijack your thread, but on the subject of getting up close to swans, why not try to get upclose to a ostrich.. very scary and they can't half run!


    I took this with a fairly good camera phone as I diddn't have my SLR with me, and I was lucky!

    PS: I don't recommend jumping over a fence to get into an ostrichs 'pen' lol!
