Just registered a few domains and arranged hosting. Newbie to web design, so learning from scratch. Plan on setting up photoblog and general website.
Have dreamweaver, PS, and trying Cyberduck for FTP. Any other software suggestions for Mac that are worth having ?

Transmit is the best FTP client, although Cyberduck is free.

I'd avoid Dreamweaver if i was a newb, and use something like TACO html, thats me though. Some Pro's use DW, Using DW won't make you a Pro.

Fetch for FTP, i'm trying to learn DW but am from a print background. Using Freeway, its easy but has alot of drawbacks.

Have a look at my site for the result i got.

Well seeing as you have DW I recoommend using that. Seeing as your starting from scratch there really is no better program, try using some of the lessons that come with it.

You can also use DW for FTP. I use cute and svn tortoise myself and they are smooth as, but seeing as your learning just use the dw ftp and get to grips with that before you over complicate things.

From a design point of view stick with PS and don't touch fireworks with a barge pole. Your starting from scratch with all the pro software so you can't get a better start. Just look around the web for easy HTML tutorials ect.

    Enjoy
