My friends running Windows XP Home, and has eircom 25 hour flat rate dialup. He forgot his dialup password and needs to retrieve it to dialup with another pc in his house, its saved in the dialup window and he can connect, but he can't read the password, is there a file the password is stored in so it can be retrieved?

Don't Eircom have really crap passwords? I remember I had one of those Eircom "Flat Rate" :D accounts too until I swtiched to BT anytime and the password was something like default or eircomnet IIRC. If you ring up Eircom shouldn't they have it for you anyway. Anyway isn't it like a golden rule to write down stuff like that or at least save it in a word file on the PC.

As far as I can remember you don't need a username or password to connect on Eircom Dial Up.. Just as long as you have their correct number... Basicly you can leave both fields blank.. You just need the username/password to retrieve emails if you have an email acct set up with them.. Can anyone else confirm this though?

That wouldn't apply for flat rate per month connections.
