Thinking about buying a MBP and the cheapest way to buy one seems to be through the ADC student developer program http://developer.apple.com/students/ only thing is that you need to be a student. It breaks down as follows:
    ADC student membership $99 (C.€80)
    Basic MacBook Pro €1743
    Total €1823

It works out slightly dearer that buying it in the US €1622 + €120 for a UK charger €1742 + you don’t get the benefits of the ADC program + you have a US keyboard

That will save you a nice few quid. If you have any questions their number is 0044 800 039 1010 they seem to be the only ones who can help with it.

Where did you get the price for the System? How do you know its 20% off. Im thinking of picking up a macbook pro and just wanna know if it works out cheaper or around the same if sign up for this programme. Through the Student portal i can get the 17'' Macbook pro basic model for Eur 2545.84 instead of eur 2829 wondering would this developer programme make much more of a difference?

You would probably get it for 200 euro less than the educational portal discount with ADC membership and thats after the 99 dollar sign up fee. I've just had my membership aproved and am getting a MacBook myself (how do students manage to afford a MacBook pro anyway?;) )

Sorry not sure of prices now, if you ring them up and say that your thinking of getting a student developer account they will give you all the prices. You cant get the irish prices online.

Boco, BOI were kind enough to pay for my MBP :D
