I think you need to change your password on the web page rather than via the poker client???

I'd be a little bit wary if you're being asked to change your password out of the blue after betfair having appeared to be down for a while.

Common scam. Divert traffic to your own site. Get passwords. Get money. Divert back to betfair and disappear.

i defo changed password through site. but i do rememeber a mail last week saying betfair will be requesting you to change password soon.

thought it a bit strange alright.

just to clear some confusion if i can, i received an email from betfair last week as i do most weeks, and this one said you had to change your password in the main betfair site, (no links to dodgy ones) for some admin reason. i doubt very much its a scam i haev changed it and no probs...

There is this on their site... maybe they started early :

    Betfair Poker 18 Apr 17:42
Please note that you will not be able to access the Betfair Poker Site between 16:00 and 18:00 on Thursday 20th April due to planned maintenance scheduled by Cryptologic. When communication to a licensee's system is down for a significant period of time, players of that licensee will be prevented from connecting to Poker system. An error message will be displayed in poker client when player tries to connect. It will prevent new players from connecting to the system, but existing players (already connected) will not be affected. Please contact Pokerinfo@betfair.com if you have any further queries surrounding this notice.
