I was thinking of buy a Sony 50" HD rear projector Tv and was wondering if I would have any problems running my xbox 360 on it burn in probelms and things like that. Now i know the 360 has a screensaver feature which should protect from any burn in problems but not 100% sure if that will be enough.

Any Idea's on this. Dont want to fork out money for the TV unless it will work fine with my 360.

If its the Sony KDFE-50A12 then get it. No problems with the 360, the picture quality is fantastic and it looks nice too. Also its not that expensive. My friend got one with the stand for €1750 a few weeks ago

Here is where you can find more info on it:

Seems like a good deal alright, but in fairness if it wasnt HD ready, there would be no point buying a tv that large really.

No in fact it is even better than most lcds as its native resolution is 1280 x 720 which means theres no messing with resolution upscaling/downscaling. 720p on 720 resolution. It looks great. And €1700 is a really good price

May want to think twice about a rear projection tv. The replacement lamps can cost quite a bit. I have a sony 50 inch rear projection set (And I paid a lot more than 1700 for it) and the damn lamps are 500 quid a pop. You get about 2000 hours of viewing out of them (nearly 3 years for me). The model that I have, the lamps are only available directly from sony so no cheaper alternative. I searched for ages on the net for one.

Plus I'm surrently having some picture quality problems with it.
