Info on Dublin cost of living

    Hi you all!

I will work with sales and my salary will be variable, performance related. And it can vary from €42K to €60K.

Considering that I am very bad in sales and I receive €42K/yr or €3500/month. How bad/good is it for a couple and an elder man (my father) to live in Dublin outskirts/suburbans? I already know that I cannot live in inner Dublin with that wage. On the first year, I will be the only one having an income.

For a family of three, is this salary on the average, above, below?

I am worried because I've never been in Ireland before and I've never worked with variable salaries.

    Thanks in advance.

You've more than enough to live anywhere in Dublin if you ask me and that's going on your minimum wage of E42k. Example, you can rent a nice 1 bed apt in or very near the city for anywhere between E850 - E1000 per month.

for 3 adults 42k aint much but you could do it.
a 3 bedroom house in suburbs would cost around 16k a year.then you have electricity and other utility bills ,food, transport, and all other expenses.
on 42k you will pay tax too?
42k= 14k per person which i think will allow you to rent eat and a little socialising.

You might want to select to pay tax jointly with your wife as you should be able to use her tax free allowance then.
