Is this a no brainer?

This guy has re-raised preflop with 22, 66 and 98s in the past 10 hands. He plays most hands and post flop he has continuously bet all streets and taken pots without showing. The hands he's won with were slow played big hands (flopped trips once, a set once, and turned 2 pair - AJ). His swings are huge and he has gone from $20 to $5 and back to $15 since I joined the table. I've only played 3 hands and haven't shown down.

He could potentially have anything, a set is unlikely based on his bet on the flop so Q8 seems to be a likely holding (but he slow plays good hands), although TPTK is a possibility. Your opinions please.

The problem is that it's .05/.10, there nothing you can do about these idiots except wait for a good opportunity and clean them out. Call, and then add him to your buddy list.

Possibly hit a set of 2's? i know common play with 22 is to see a cheap enough flop and see if it hits (Although it wasn't that cheap for him)
Can't imagine he has pocket 8's or Q's with an initial limp though...maybe x8?

Yes, its a no brainer:) You have to call $6.5 for a pot of about $9 to somone who obviously plays recklessly, and you have a decent overpair. Yes, he could have Q8, but its much more likely he has AQ KQ QJ or a flush draw. If he is playing consistantly he is likely to have reraised PF with pocket 88 or 22 so he probably doesn't have one of those sets, and would have played them and QQQ slower if he slowplays monsters.

Its gotta be call. He is going to have top pair enough times to make this profitable.
Also in a 10 seater raise more with KK to weed out low pairs.

note - just passed €315 mark on my poker account (started with €4)..yay!

The limits are low enough so he could be playing anything

Having the knowledge that his punter could literally hold anything, added to the fact that you have position on him and also taking into consideration that the pot size is decent(relative to the game stakes), I would have just let this guy lead into me on every street and I would just call him down. From what you've led me to believe abou this character I don't think raising will earn you anymore info about his hand.

At this level there's not a lot that surprises me. But this did. Based on his previous showdowns I couldn't put the fellah on a decent hand. Best he was likely to have was AQ, KQ, but with either of these he would have re-raised pre-flop. I put him on top pair with anything but an 8 (if he was true to form). If he was mixing it up and I was behind, then fair play to him. But I had to go with my read.

Here's the hand from the flop.

    *** FLOP *** [Qc 2c 8d]
    AcesNeights06 checks
    Villain bets $1.50
TonyIE40 has 15 seconds left to act
    TonyIE40 raises to $4
    AcesNeights06 folds
    Villain raises to $6.50
TonyIE40 has 15 seconds left to act
TonyIE40 raises to $10.10, and is all in
    Villain calls $3.60

    TonyIE40 shows [Kh Kd]
    Villain shows color=red]Td Qd[/color
    *** TURN *** [Qc 2c 8d] [9s]
    *** RIVER *** [Qc 2c 8d 9s] [7s]
TonyIE40 shows a pair of Kings
Villain shows a pair of Queens
TonyIE40 wins the pot ($19.70) with a pair of Kings

He was on my table again tonight, but the difference was amazing. He played 4 or 5 hands in an hour. So I took money from another [strike]idiot[/strike] ... eh ... fellah instead. :DYou know who you are !!!
