Two BF2 Questions...

I've got two silly little questions for you BF2 heads:-

1) Commander Score

When I get a score of say 80 at the end of a round and I'm playing as commander I see the "2x bonus for win" text and my question is as follows:-

Is my score actually 40, multiplied by 2 to 80 because I was commander or is my score actually 160? How does that 2x thingy work?

2) Knifing

Does knifing your own team mates count towards the knife badge?

1: the score you see on the final score page is your score x 2 , so if you see 80 then you scored 40 .

Actually it does technically, but because its a tk it only counts as 25% towards a knife kill. Just keep at it and you'll get the badge.

I'm at the stage here I've a stupid amount of points (43 or 44K), I've got all the basic badges and all the vet badges except knife... so I'm missing out on a bunch of ranks just because of the damn knife

Can't seem to get 7 kills in a single round these days using knife for some reason.

But a Knife and Pistol server will sort that out for ye

Just get all the servers up in your BF2 server screen, and up in 'name' type 'Knife'

Should have your badge within 2 mins.....though the hard work and pride in the knowledge that you got it through hard work is gone :eek:

In Karkland go behind the hotel to the left onto the building that sort of looks down on the stairs to the hotel as MEC.

Make sure you have f2000, when the US take the hotel and start pouring down the alley, throw a flash bang down and leap off the roof kinfe out batman style should get 2 kills each time. The run back up and repeat, when done take the flag back.

do you only get the x2 bonus if your commander from the start? ive jumped into commander seat sometimes when no-one wants to be it and the team needs one but have never got the bonus

The winning commander *always* get's the x2 bonus AFAIK, no matter when you become commander.

Pick a 64 person server with 20 or so players. should give you the time to get 7, altho it'll drag you kd ratio down big time.

Here is one though if you become commander in the last min of the game after getting like 40 normal points and say ya only get 1 comand point you will finnish with a score of 42 as only the 1 comand point gets the 2X. Some people might try go commander to double a combat score, well it wont work.

Thanks for the advice... I swallowed my pride and joined a knife/pistol server for a few mins and got the needed badge.

It's a very strange experience on those servers, having 64 loons running around with pistols and knives only... mad fun indeed.
