There is a mixture of the very bad, the good and the 'gamblers'.

It was split tonight with some guy called Joe Grech taking the large share and Chris Green taking the small share. Not that 2500 vs 3000 can be called big v small for most of us. For Joe Grech maybe.........

I was card deaqd but somehow managed to get to the second last table.

I also saw some interesting play from my seat on table 2. I'm glad to hear that Chris cashed, as she was on that table for as long as I was there, and she played extremely well.

I, however, did well before the break, then when I needed chips I split a pot with Chris (we both had AJ suited) and finally my As9s was no good against Norman's AQ (I think).

I was totally card dead all night. Saw some strange plays alright, but it is only a €50 tourny. Joe Grech was at my table for a while. Decent player and seems like a sound bloke.

I went out in about 25th when my K7 steal walked into A8 (Paddy Hicks) and AK. Paddy took it down with an 8 on the river for a 30k pot.

Paddy made the final table, 6th I think for 300. Good crowd tonight.

played this too. like this tourney alot and there was some very good players last night obviously there for the irish open tomorrow.

played well for a while. then with 4 tables left i was moved downstairs and it all went horribly wrong. i hate getting moved tables and my head was all over the shop.

i was in bb and the sb completes, just the two of us. i check with k4o. k23 on flop, he bets and i reraise, overbetting the pot, then call his all in. i wanted to kick the **** out of myself.

yeah iw as unlucky to have my AJ run into a monster K2o preflop and for him to hit a flsuh with the king... and my AK ran into K7 i really should have seen it comin!but its a well run tourney no doubt tbf..

Went out about half-way through last night. Eight tourneys in a row without a final table, so I'm getting close to my record. Hitting neither cards nor flops, and lack the ability to play without them!

Good few boardsters last night: Rounders and BigD at my first table, saw Doc Farrell, 5starpool, ocallagh, and met Fatboydim (and the missus) for the first time. And half the dealers post here as well!

Biggest hand I saw in a long time:

Blinds 150/300. Player X limps UTG (that in itself is worrying), and there are about 6 callers, including the blinds.

Flop comes A66. SB checks, BB bets 500, Player X calls (!!), SB calls.

Turn is a 9. SB checks, BB bets about 2K, Player X moves all-in, SB calls, BB calls.

    Guess the hands!

You were between Rounders and Long Lad so. You played a savage game, I was really trying to stay out of your way. I was seated beside BigD before he got moved.

I got involved in one hand after the break with you... you raised to 750 UTG, I flat-called, you bet the flop, I moved in... you didn't have much, did you! :) Missed big Ace?

yeah i had sweet fa that hand lenny.

i might be getting confused with hands here, but that was the one before the pny chips were taken in, and i never win in a chip race, so i decided to raise utg with anything reasonable!!

had a dodgy call with longlad, actually two, one where i have 910s, flop comes with 2 spades, i bet out and get reraised. i called and was a poor call but got paid off for it. the one with the a4 vs a5 just before the break where we split it, though i think it was more a good call.

i am not great with faces, but i think i remember both of ye!

Yeah, that was the hand. But it was easy for me to play, I had AA! I was just going to flat call your flop bet, but I only had 2K more so I was hoping you'd call the all-in with your monster stack.

i wanted to play this but ended up dealing the whole tourney standard was pretty brutal on the final table apart from joe grech who played well i had to explain our string betting rules a few times to him though €5,450 split between them and only a handful of scalps €70 i think left for the tip :(

sikes, i was sitting directly opposite you when Joe Grech called your all in with JT and got the str8... I went out soon after.

The lad with K8 was a tight player so it was unfortunate you just arrived at the table. A few rounds at the table and you'd have dropped it. In fairness it was a close one and you were unlucky the board stayed so low to let his 8 kicker play.

Played this a few weeks ago(First Time). Never been so sick leaving a poker table.

Hadn't slept from the night before .......... know this is no excuse but ..

Looked at my cards had 8,9 limped in.

Flop came 89k rainbow ....... someone raised i pushed , he called. He through over AA had a stack of near 25k and he had about 20k was delighted banged the table and through over 6,9 not 8,9 :(

Tilted away my last few chips and left.

Sorry for the rant this story just came to mind when i seen the thread.

Standards was brutal? I've seen you play Mr Callin Card, you don't know how to hold onto a stack....I wasn't at the final table but if someone gets there a few times their standard can't be BRUTAL. I know a few guys at the last two tables and they were good players. Don't forget some people may need a few bob for the weekend and some might just want to win, don't be so harsh to judge.

I stand by what I said based on what I saw. What games have u seen me play in, and was I taking them seriously? I can't remember the last time I've even had a stack to lose. I've only played the 270 once this year, and I cashed in the 500 FO last december (on that occasion, yes I did blow my stack).

Yeah kinaldo is a top fish. Total calling station. Can't fold JJ preflop.
