I wouldn't say so. Unless they have a late-bar. Otherwise I doubt it. Can't tell ya for sure though.

I was talking to someone who owns a shop/off-license. A man came in and offered €50 for a naggin of whiskey. He was in a bad way. Sad.

Pubs with a pub licence won't bother opening; they'd only get to serve for half an hour. Some with late bar licences and night clubs will open. It's usually one of the busiest nights in a night club/late bar - from 12am on the Saturday following Good Friday!

Drinking is cool and if you don't drink you're gay and shold be branded.

It's even cooler to drink when it's outlawed and if you don't you're a pussy and should be force fed vodka untill you puke.

And diago can go eat my ass biscuits.

How long before the law becomes abolished you reckon?

I was also thinking earlier, if Good Friday is about abstinance, then how is stopping alcohol being sold gonna help that? Surely abstinance is about the person themselves making the decision to give up something for that time? Not have someone else make the decision.

As someone already stated, I was in the mood to go out.
I had a tough week in work and needed a release.
No need to brand my desire for a drink as sad.
And I was in work from 8am till 9pm on thursday so forgive me for not putting going to the off licence as number one priority on my way home.

Its really just a case of your own stupidity. You should have planned ahead, everyone else did, why couldn't you?
