    LIE DOWN AND BE COUNTED

Patients Together are staging a demonstration on Good Friday at the Dail at 12 pm. They will have 495 people to represent the highest number of patients recorded on trolleys so far. The participants will be lying down on the ground in front of the Dail. All are welcome and bring your own banners

Are they going to just lie down, or lie down on some trolleys?

I agree that there is a problem in the A & Es but maybe Patients Together shouldnt be run by a FG member, who no doubt will run again at the next local elections:confused:

they've been quite stringent about not having party political bunf! of any kind.

I don't believe it an opposition front unless you educate me otherwise

only about 100 turned up there was thousands out down the country last year...

The problem isn't in the A&Es themselves, it's the fact that there aren't enough acute hospital beds in the system. Most of the backlog is from people waiting to get admitted. That and people who really should have gone to their GP first.

Looked quite pathetic on the news with only about 100 people protesting outside the Dáil.
Not very bright staging the protest when the Dáil isn't even in action.

There seems to be various different protests outside the dail neary every week, probably explains why the recieve so little attention.
