I received an email during the week saying that I was entitled to two tickets to the semi-final because we had bought the three-pack of tickets for the home games. Everyone was put into a hat and ours was one of the lucky names to be drawn.

I wonder did your mate see the queue of people who also received that email and think that tickets were on sales to the general public?

    Regards,

    Liam

Yeah the leinster branch played a blinder by selling a number of tickets for the east and north terrace on friday night. it gave the chance for loyal supporters who are not season tickets holders to buy tickets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

I assume it might have been some of the tickets not taken up by the 3pack ticket holders who couldnt get there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,880 ✭✭✭Hippo

Have you seen the pair of North Terrace (!) tickets with a high bid of €1520??
    These people should be shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,659 ✭✭✭PowerHouseDan

Ah no thats actually me... I have bidded outragous prices on most of the tickets there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

Yeah was just about to say that Dietoutdie seems to be well on his way for a lot of those :)

what really does me in is the people who say "available because unable to travel now" - so you would've gone otherwise - so you'd consider yourself a fan - so why rip the BALLS off other fans just cus you feel you can?

    idiots.

on that note, i am now only looking for one ticket :D hehehe

He's winding us up. Please tell us he's winding us up.

I shelled out 40 yo yo's to sit in the stands with junior and never saw sight nor sound of any ticket offers. They said there were a few being given away as prizes with programs but that was it.

It's a cruel wind up if that's what it turns out to be.

I'm afraid it's all true Snickers. It was confirmed for me by the frequently irritatingly smug editor on the leinsterrugby.ie messageboard. Apparently there were 'frequent announcements' made before the game that tickets were available behind the east stand. Perhaps you're as deaf as me and my kids...and mates!

    Good man Dan.

Yeah it was announced loads, about every 5-10 minutes from about an hour before kick off. They kept saying a limited amount but when i reckon they had plenty, have yet to hear of someone who queued and didnt get any.

friend of mine just collected my tickets for me. He was told that any tickets not collected today will be sold tomorrow.

Seems harsh to me but those of you looking for tickets might get lucky.

    Boglets :(

Am dying with the flu so its unlikely I'd get to nip to Donneybrook or anywhere tomorrow.

Just an Update on Ebay Tickets i was onto Ronan the Head Ticket guy in Leinster Branch, on 3 Tickets that have some up on ebay showing the ticket this is the response:

    Hi Dan,

We are aware of these individuals and have contacted them & asked them to
remove it... Unfortunately, they declined to do so & therefore we have
blacklisted them from purchasing anymore tickets...

    Regards,

    Ronan O'Donnell
    Ticket Officer

    That's good news I guess.

Have some morons actually allowed the ticket numbers be shown on ebay????

If they're stupid enough to do that they deserve it.

some of these tickets are going 4 more than the final. shows how badly people want tickets 4 this

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,659 ✭✭✭PowerHouseDan

Not really myself and a few other people from munsterfans are biddin on all of them and upping the prices but tickets for the final are going for big money alright

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,958 ✭✭✭✭RuggieBear

i'm just happy i've got my tickets for the final already...bought them 10 mins after the leinster toulouse game.

and if leinster win the semi i assume being a season ticket holder that i'll have dibs on one of the 7500 tickets been allocated to the finalists.

wow..first reply in 7 months. well some of us are not so fortunate as to be able to attend the match due to college exams,i will, however,be getting pissed and watching in on the old big screen :) so who are the other teams that Leinster will be up against in the final :D:p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,659 ✭✭✭PowerHouseDan

I hate cockyness.... For either Munster or Leinster it will be Bath or Biarritz

Please tell me you're flogging it at face value ( don't need a ticket already sorted ) but the thought of gouging in this forum is not tooo pleasant ....not to say a banning offence !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,330 ✭✭✭✭Amz

Any tickets sold here have to be sold at face value in accordance with the boards.ie for sale rules.

Anyone selling or offering above face value will be site banned.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,880 ✭✭✭Hippo

Still got that schoolie ticket funkstard?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,252 ✭✭✭Funkstard

I'll ring my friend later, he wants to try and get extra for it but apparently that doesn't bode well here! I'm in Killiney but have a car to I can travel a bit. Not too far now. I'm not even sure what the face value is, I'll write back in a few hours.

Now, I'm not entirely sure if this is still going. He's the kind of person that will change his mind

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,880 ✭✭✭Hippo

Cheers funkstard, I'll take it off you at face value of course! I'm not even sure that he'll get much more for it as it's a junior ticket.
Don't worry about getting it to me, I can collect from anywhere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,880 ✭✭✭Hippo

PS if it helps at all, it's for my daughter who's a rugby fanatic, so it's going to a good cause...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,301 ✭✭✭Snickers Man

Just been promised a terrace ticket at face value for the Leinster End (which is loike so the end i want to be in, roysh) from a died-in-the-dung Munster Fan.

At least he is enough of a human being to insist that his extras go at face value to the sort of sap (sorry, make that dedicated long-term fan) who has been trudging out to HC games at Donnybrook since the days when you could get a seat in the stand without having to sell your mother to afford it, ie me.

Doesn't that make you feel warm all over?

Of course I could put it on ebay with a reserve price of 1 million and a comment to the effect of: 'Out of my cold dead hands ya bastards!'

But on second thoughts, it will be enough just to be there.

    G'wan Leinster.
