In the grand scheme of things, when you sit back & think about your life right now, overall:- are you happy, or are you sad?

(i.e. if your life's going great, but you've just had a silly argument with your other 1/2, don't say you're sad, if you know what I mean)

Overall, I couldn't be happier, just wondering how many other people feel the same?

How do you feel, overall with life? 21 votes

Well, if its in the grand scheme of things, then I'd have to say happy.

Right now, I'm working in a god-foresaken hell hole; but all these trials and tribulations make you who you are, and I don't really believe in regretting anything. So I'd say happy overall, but a better working life would be nice :D

Generally couldn't be happier, enjoying where I'm working, have some great friends, in a good financial position.
The only thing that's not going great is college but that can change, if I need to repeat a year I'm not stressed about it.
Heading to Australia for a year in October providing nothing changes in the mean time and am looking forward to a good summer, so yeah, quite happy with the way things are working out.

Donnie Darko: Ling Ling finds a wallet on the ground filled with money. She takes the wallet to the address on the driver’s license but keeps the money inside the wallet. <Scoffs> I-I’m sorry Mrs. Farmer. I don’t get this.

Kitty Farmer: Just place an X on the Life Line in the appropriate place.

    Donnie Darko:
No, I mean I know what to do, I just don’t get this. You can’t just lump things into two categories. Things aren’t that simple.

Kitty Farmer: The Life Line is divided that way.

Donnie Darko: Life isn’t that simple. I mean who cares if Ling Ling returns the wallet and keeps the money? It has nothing to do with either fear or love.

Kitty Farmer: Fear and love are the deepest of human emotions.

Donnie Darko: Okay. But you’re not listening to me. There are other things that need to be taken into account. Like the whole spectrum of human emotion. You can’t just lump everything into these two categories and then just deny everything else.

    Kitty Farmer:
If you don’t complete the assignment you’ll get a zero for the day.

    Donnie Darko: <deep breath>…

Yea, I thought of adding a somewhere in between category, but where would we get with that? Everyone would say that, so I decided to stick with just happy or sad.

    If you're 55% happy / 45% sad, then you're happy, & vice versa.

Nobody's life is 100% perfect, but generally we can slot ourselves into either category
