Looking for a Router for my DS?

Ok, i've realised that this useless piece of crap Eircom gave me (Netopia 3347NWG) is not going to work with my DS (damn thing disconnects after exactly 10mins of playing MK:DS... i'm sure there are some here familiar with this problem)

So anyway, I went to PC world and asked about routers, the guy didn't seem to know much about the DS (he asked me if it had an ethernet port?), so i just said what i needed (802.11b), he ended up recommending me a Linksys WRT54GS, this isn't on the nintendowifi.co.uk compatability list (there are two whose model number end in "GX" and "GC" with 2 stars each but PCworld don't have those), but it is on router set-up part of the site (where it says how to set up different routers).

So, is there anyone out there using the Linksys WRT54GS? Does it work fine?

Or anyone else out there with other routers that work fine what do you have?

Or if anyone using the Netopia 3347NWG from Eircom is succesfully using a USB dongle with it, what dongle do you have?

    Please people i need info:(

    Cheers

That router works fine with the DS, a friend of mine has it and uses it successfully with both his DS and PSP.

Really, you sure it's that exact model? If so that would be brilliant.

I seen that thread before, i looked for it in Argos (Waterford) but it's been out of stock for the last month that i've been checking. And i don't think its coming back, cuz the item checker thing says to look for an alternative on the same page. If there was more stock coming it would say when it was expected to be in. There is another C&W dongle on that page for a fiver more but it doesn't say if it works with 802.11b devices?

I think i'd prefer a router though, that way i won't need to have the comp on when i want to play the DS online and that Linksys is only 90euro which is fairly good i think.

Cheers guys, any more info would be welcome if anyone wants to add to it.

Yep, it's that exact model of router. And it's a very good one, so go ahead and buy it :)

Well i bought the Linksys last Saturday, and it actually didn't work, it wouldn't connect to the net when i was going through the set up. I turns out the problem was i couldn't use my Netopia as a modem cuz it was a router also (dispite the guy at PCworld saying it wouldn't cause a problem). I brought it back yesterday and talked to a guy at their repair/returns desk, (it was him who pointed out the problem). And he recomended me a Belkin F5D7632-4. So i was able to exchange the Linksys for the Belkin (plus an extra tenner). It set up quick and easy and works perfectly with the DS.
