Anyone know where you can get a portfolio for putting pictures in to show. I have printed a lot of A4 pictures and need somewhere to stick them, currently they are in a folder with plastic dividers but need something a bit more permanent. Maybe to show to customers (maybe :)) Any help greatly appreciated...

Any art supply shop should sell portfolios, go for a bound one, with a zip & side pockets. It'll cost a few bob, but they last for years, and keep your stuff safe and mostly dry!

The art shop on Thomas Street is one of the cheapest about considering its part of NCAD and sells at student prices!

EDIT: Would you think of binding them in a book? Come summer when I've less college work, I plan on throwing together a small A5 sized book, just as something to have.

I submitted a photography portfolio for college, which got me accepted just three days ago... and I had it in an a2 folder, spend about 80 euro and you're sorted. I was able to fit about 30 - 40 pics at avarage A4 size... :)

    Thank Guys!

It was DIT's School of Photography which is based in Temple bar!

I got my portfolio case in O'Sulivans, it's just of candem street, near the beeding horse, but on the opposite side of the road to the bleeding hourse.

Like you come over Portabello bridge northbound, go past the bleedin horse and then it's a left! you get me? sure look the up in the golden pages. Great Shop!

well done shrimp, was looking at the course description and it says theres only about 25 places so there must be pretty strong competition for places, I was thinking of applying for it myself for next year. How long did it take you to produce your portfolio?

Thanks poky.. Well it wasn't a matter of time really. I only decided a week before the deadline that I might as well submit it! I have been doing photography since last august, so I really just put in my best 30 pieces since then! It's very nice to have, as it's a physical account of my work!

But if you are planning on doing it, start this summer, you'll learn a lot in the 3 months, and then just keep taking photos! Don't put your portfolio together till the very end, as you'll see how you've improved. Something you think is great now, may not be so good in the near future. As you keep on learning!3

Glad I was of help borderfox.
