COSMOS 2006: The Universe comes to Tullamore!

    Thats right, once again, this annual Spring Star Party, Irelands second longest running one, will be held by Tullamore Asronomical Society in Annaharvey Equestrian Farm on April 21st to 23rd.

    Distinguished speakers (and their topics) include:

    Dr. Neil Bone, Associate Editor of Astronomy Now magazine
    (The Northern Lights: How, When and Why)

    Ash McFadden, Inishowen Maritime Museum and Planetarium
    (Comets in the Classroom, including a look at the Rocket Egg-Lofting Competition)

    Anthony Murphy, Drogheda Astronomy Club
    (Newgrange and Precession – ancient astronomical masterplan?)

    Catherine Ansboro of Kingsland Observatory, Roscommon
    (Science: On a collision course with the real world)

    Dr. Massimo Teodorani, Astrophysicist, Science Writer and Independent SETI Researcher from Italy
    (Standard and non-standard SEI Research)

    Michael O’Connell, Tullamore Astronomical Society
    (Construction of a Backyard Astronomical Observatory)

    There will be exhibits and displays, buy and sell, Cosmic Dinner on Saturday night, Observing Sessions Friday and Saturday nights (or indoor activities if the weather is bad), free Table Quiz, prize draw, and more!

    The weekend will cost no more than €40 (other rates and concessions available)
