Does anyone know if its possible to use a generic settop digital TV tuner to work on Magnet Entertainment's system (ie. buy a box myself and avoid paying extra to get a second box from them?). Also, is it possible to get a direct digital signal from their box to a TV (HDMI or DVI)? It comes with just SCART as standard. Thanks

AFAIK, Magnet deliver their TV channels as mpeg2 streams and you'll need a device that's capable of sending a request to their servers to lock onto the UDP stream and then send this out via DVI or HDMI to your TV. With some hacking you may be able to build a PC that would be able to kick off the request and send the output via the graphics card. But I doubt there would be anything on the market right now that would do this (unless you could find a second hand stp box).

    Adrian.
