Eggistential Easter Angst

    Some questions:

Is it wrong to eat part or all of one's Easter egg or eggs before Easter Sunday?

Even if you haven't given up chocolate for Lent?

Is it ok to eat some of the sweets that accompany the egg?

    Thoughts?

I think a personal issue could be made of this.

I think that it is evil to eat it before the day. The egg and it's accompaning confectionaires are looking forward to the big day. Do you kill a man on death row a day early?
No, it defies the natural order of the multiverse.
God does not play dice, the egg must be eaten on the day, or the day of reckoning will be upon us, and brimstone will be the new thing to be seen wearing.

D'you think the Lord would settle for a bunnysuit?

If he is anything like me, then, aye.
You should buy one in case, maybe wear it whenever you are in Connaught or something, to pay penance.

Its clear to me that Chocolate, given its effect on the female mind, should be considered a vile and repugnant food stuff, and its existance erased from this fair Isalnd.

In the days of yore, when we of Ireland tilled the land with our bare teeth did we find coco beans in the soil, (no we didn't its a retohrical question), did we allow the workers to become intoxicted withs it frevor. We did not.

So I ask now why would we embrace the chocolate devil to our bosoms and savor its sweet extremities, we must resist or swallow deep in an ocean of brown stickyness, that is the reason I say eating chocolate is indeed evil.

It is ok to eat the chocolates out of your little sister's Easter Egg before Easter but not your own.

Hang on, don't those two things contradict themselves?

This whole chocolate is evil malarky is just not on, there is no evil to be had with the wonderful chocolate eggs. However if you are to eat your own easter egg or someone else's egg before easter, then they're at fault for not hiding their easter egg in an appropriate hiding place or for giving you your egg prior to easter. Clearly we're only human so we can't resist the temptation of the glorious easter egg.

Ok, hold up there one minute.

Easter Eggs......before easter sunday. Someone quickly spill the beans.

How can you have an easter egg before Sunday when the bunny only delivers them on Saturday night? Has someone got an inside source or something

It's ok to eat the sweets before sunday, they're just put there by the chocolate company to tempt people to open their eggs early and eat them before sunday, meaning they'll have to rush out an buy new ones.

In general it's evil to eat the egg itself, but there is the aforementioned loophole whereby if you rush out and buy a new one before sunday, your soul may be saved. It's also only slightly evil to eat half of one saturday night after the pub, as long as you leave at least half for the next day. If half an egg isn't enough, find someone else's and eat half of theirs too.

Well, how do you define a 'God' and what know ye know of mine multiverse.
I think you will find no such contradiction because humans don't have a clue about it. :)

If you're off chocolate for Lent, how could you possibly eat either the egg or its contents before Easter Sunday?!

Well first of all you're going to hell for that dreadful pun in the title but after that I think it's a-ok to eat all or some of your Easter egg before Sunday so long as you are not off chocolate for Lent.

Well gods are created by humans, they believe, and it comes into existence through this belief.
I mean, if those lads and yer man hadn't pimped the bible, we wouldn't give two tosses (nor would we belive) about Christianity.

As for the multiverse and universe theories, it links back to "God" again and also infinity. I'll elaborate if you so desire..

Do Easter bunnies count? Have eaten 5 mini-bunnies in the past week, have a 1Kg bunny to eat over the weekend (thank you smccarrick :))

If you gave chocolate up for lent for whatever reason then I think that it is a shame to give up now, but that would just be me wanting to finish a self set challenge.
