    The wire ones are the hex colours

    Hex numbers are 16-based rather than 10-based

    So 0 = 0
    1 = 1
    2 = 2
    .....
    10 = A
    11 = B
    12 = C
    13 = D
    14 = E
    15 = F

    Therefore F is the highest value you can get.

    With hex colours they are divided into three sections

    RR GG BB
    red - green - blue

    so FF0000 is red
    ... 000000 is black
    ... FFFFFF is white
    ... 00FF00 is green

    Hope that helps some peole solve the puzzle :)

    DBG did you try adding uo the numbers in the diagonals do it and you will see what i mean (15)

    Got it, with about 6 mins to spare.

    Feel a bit of a geek really - you need to know (Spoiler) binary, html colour codes and sudoku to solve it.
