Which Gp did you most enjoy watching since the new groove tyres came in at beginning of 1998.
I think the Belgian GP of 98 was brilliant.

Another wet one comes to mind, the Nurburgring in 1999.

It was the race where Diniz was upside-downed and his roll cage broke,
Ferarri lost Irvine's wheel in the pits,
    Minardi scored points,
the lead changed at least 10 times
and Johnny Herbert won for Stewart with Truilli 2nd for Prost!

    That was a brilliant race

The Inter Lagos GP of 2003 was pretty spectacular but Spa of 98 was also exceptional to watch!

Have to agree. Probably the most spectacular crash in the history of f1 followed by a Jordan one two!
(The only downside was that the stupid fυckers didn't have the national anthem  Although this did mean I could be present for the first time the Irish national anthem was played after a grand prix :D )

I thought they just played "god save the queen" for Damon Hill and assumed jordan were british and didn't bother playing an anthem for the manufacturer. A good way to enrage the entire country!

How can I forget! That big massive pile up on the way to Eu Rouge. The Nurbergring was a fantastic race also. Marc Gene finishing 4th in a Minardi!! class!!

Sorry to be really picky but he finished 6th! :)

Yup Spa 98' gets a deserved mention as does Nurburgring 99'.

    Other exceptional races were...
Hockenheim 00' (Barrichello starting 18th and wins the race)
Spa 00' (Hakkinen's race winning battle with Schumacher)
Silverstone in 03' or 04' (can't remember exactly, maybe both  ) was a superb race from memory
Imola 05' (Alonso holding off Schumacher)

Pity that I have to spend so long trying to think of classic F1 races over the past 8 years.

Yea Gene came 6th but only because Luca Badoer's Minardi broke down near the end while he was running 4th.

Spa 2000 yea that was brilliant when Hakkinen passed Schumacher and Zonta was in the middle

Is F1 that bad that big crashes are the only thing people watch it for 1 for don't I enjoy the racing. Zane from MTV2 recognises races for been races and not just for an occasional mille which rarely happens.

Zane I fully agree with your list The silverstone you are thinking of is '03 I was fortunate enough to be there sitting accross from the podium. Enclosed is a pic of the Ferrari guys waiting for Rubens to cross the finish line.

The '98 Hungarian GP and Monza GP are well up there too IMO.

I hope that if Ferrari, McLaren and Honda get a competive package going this year we will see a big fight and this time next year we can add a few races form this year to the growing list.

That was the race that Hienz Harld Frenzen (In a Jordan) retired from the lead with a gear box problem and lost a possible shot at the drivers tital, a damn shame
