Advice required - Digital receiver

I just moved in a new house (Bray) which had a full satellite installation with 2 dishes. The previous owners left everything except the digital receiver.

I am a novice at FTA system and I am looking for advice on digital receivers.
What receivers would you advise or what features to look for?
I am not looking for a top of the range receiver but something that won't make its daily operation a painful task.

Also, the previous owner lady was Spanish and I assume they were receiving Spanish channels. On this assumption, is it fair to say one of the dish is wide enough to receive French channels.

    Thanks in advance!

French channels come from a different place in the sky usually. The dish size is the same.

Most from 90 Euro are fine. Expect to pay up to 30 Euro more to have an RF modulator so as other rooms can be fed with same picture, the cheaper ones only have SCART, which does give stereo and best picture.

See suppliers on the "stickies" and the ICGDopeadia

Only really the Sky Digibox is limited in features but it does Sky platform Interactive.

For FTA TV you don't waste money with CAMs, CI or cards.
