47 players made the cut with Jim Furyk(I believe) the first one out on Saturday. Now any matemathican will tell you that 47/2 will give you 23.5 . So who did Furyk play with on Saturday?

What happens in other events, when there is an uneven cut?

    I know the answer btw

No. That would be deemed to be a dis-advantage.

Did he play the round with a local pro or a pro from Augusta national who marked his card? That's what normally happens anyway.

Exactly what happened, and the local pro had 4 birdies on the front nine of the third round!

He did. The "member" won a lottery of members in Augusta to see who would play in such circumstances. This guy is called a marker, as he is responsible for marking the other golfers card.

And Garcia was first out on Sunday, not Saturday.

The member of Augusta that played with Furyk was 4 under par for the front nine on Saturday. I assume that this was from forward tees??

I don't actually know tbh. I would assume not. I could not see it as being "fair" if Furyk had to wait after every drive for your man to tee up and take a shot.

It's an incredible feat it this guy was off the same tee's, but I honestly don't know.

Augusta National member Jeff Knox had much better luck.

Obviously he doesn't have to rely on ballots to play his course, but he actually got the chance to play it during the Masters.

As a non-competing marker, Knox accompanied Jim Furyk who needed a partner because there's an odd number of players who made the cut.

The former US Open champion said: "We had a good time, I really enjoyed his company."

Knox believes he shot something like a 75, though he didn't hole out on every hole. (Source: BBC Sport)
