I plan to sell my house in London move back to Ireland. I was wondering will I have to pay tax or any thing to the UK or Irish government when I transfer the money to Ireland to buy a house there. I know I will have to pay stamp duty on the house in Ireland and any bank charges in the transfer. But will I have to pay and tax when taking the cash between the countries.
