They say not to do it with pec-pads because they want to sell a more expensive product.

I've been cleaning the cmos of my cameras with Eclipse, Pec-Pads and a hand-made swab made of flexible plastic, so I don't put too much pressure on the cmos.

On the move I use SpeckGrabber.

Everything for around 20 euro :D

there are always naysayers who, as edunon points out, want to sell you something they are promoting because it's so much better and safer than what youre currently using.

Photographers, both amateur and pro, have been using copper hill for years... I'm sure if it was bad for the sensor it wouldnt be so popular.
