Problem with Quad LNB & 4 Way Disqec

    Since I changed from Twin LNB to Quad for Sky I have a problem with my Diseqc switch. Many of the 28.2 channels come through on ALL switch positions, mixed up with the channels that should be there.

    Is it because the Digiboxes are powering the Quad and it outputs at high level on all four o/ps even if a connector is not powered? The level out seems higher. If this is case it should only be on vertical polarity (assume Disqec switch only switches power and its 22KHz isolation is poor?)

    Or has my "Global" brand Disqec switch gone faulty?

    what receiver are you using to drive the switch Watty? I've found that changing the "diseq repeat" settings can sometimes help.

    It is a Hauppauge PCI Satellite card, pre Nexus model, pretty much like Skystar1 and using Technotrend Premium Drivers 2.17 (NOT 2.19 as these seem only to work with later card).

    ProgDVB and Technotrend application give same results. Transponders ONLY on Hotbird or Astra 19E are working, but any Transponder close to Astra 28.2E "sky" settings gives Sky. e.g. All BBC channels!

    Switch:
    1 = 19E
    2 = 13E
    3 = 28.2E (OK)
    4 = 23.5E

    I had problems while running a digibox as a second reciever behind a priority switch to a 4 way switch. I found that the 28E LNB had to be switch 1 (Digiboxes cannot control the switch so switch 1 is neutral?). I had it at 2 or 3 and it just wouldn't work. Try that.

    Different problem. The Sky boxes connect DIRECT to outlets on the Quad LNB. The Digiboxes don't go near the switch.

    The setup worked with a Twin LNB and a single Digibox on the other LNB port.

    I'm with you now. I thought after I replied that was nothing to do with your problem. Good luck.
