Actually, I never really thought about Kerrygold before. Sure, I was captivated by their wonderful ad campaigns but the name itself... butter and gold do actually resemble each other quite a bit in their hues but taking it further... imagine a land in which butter was used instead of gold. Some sort of reverse King-Midasery. Young maidens would receive bands of butter from their beloveds, people would have to bring big pots of the stuff around with them when they went shopping and shops would have to have spoons and so on to take the right amount. (Different ones for winter and summer too because of the effects of temperature on butter's meltiness). There'd be no bling bling but rather buttah buttah and people would get mocked for buying margarine in Argos instead. I mean, it's really amazing when you think about it - so many repercussions. It's not just the French fellas - butter is all I can think about too atm...

I have actually given thought to this butter society and how much cows, goats etc would be worth. There would be a black market for rats of course.

Gather drift wood, build rings, start fires, roast dogs, ribs, bananas, apples, and marshmellos on sticks. Crack out the guitar and boom boxes, kegs of beer, toss off some of the useless clothes, hit the water for swimming, board and wind surfing, and sailing, joining old and new friends on the sandy shore, to drink, sing, play, and make love.:cool:

Woah, people would be wishing that butter grew on trees.The "I can't believe it's not butter" poeple would all be imprisoned for counterfeit currency. NCF would be a veritable fort knox.
I think this needs a lot more thought. The things going on in this world boggle the mind and I think there is call for a 'Butter world' Forum.
We all want a butter world in the end, so we can live in peace and prosper.
