I heard there are showers at the Electric Picnic? Please tell me it's true and there's that fake mahogany action going on in the portaloos?

:) I remember when I went to my first festival and the rumours of the communal showers went around.

No they are single showers in a kinda seperate portacabin setup. Noone will see your bits unless you want them to.

    pffft!
real festival goers don't need luxuries such as showers...

changing my tshirt and spraying on some deo was as clean as i got last time around:p

I dunno, you could get away with it at a 2 day festival, but that 3rd day is gonna be pretty nasty unless you get a shower of somesort.......

I normally opt for a swipe of the girlfriends fancy face wipe things.......

is right, 3 days might push the dirt barrier over the edge :) ah well we all love filth really dont we? :)

3 days is nothing. Did six days (Wednesday to Tuesday) last year at Glastonbury. That included losing a load of clothes and cleaning materials in the flood... and also being in a flood. These things generally dont help your general cleanliness.

I wont say I was the most pleasant person to be near but I survived and after a while wasnt even that miserable about looking like an extra from the Lord of the Rings.

I regularly throw my belongings at festivals into 3 million litres of water to keep things interesting and myself smelling obnoxious.

I bought replacement tootbrushes soap etc. Had fresh socks and underwear everyday (when we were abandonning camp this was what I rescued) etc but theres only so clean you can get when camping in a bog.

But of course you know all that because you know me in real life and your just trying to make me look bad.

the problem with having a shower at festivals is you notice how bad everyone who hasn't had a shower(which is most people) smells.

was going to bring a few gallons of water, a bucket and a rope but glad to hear no need - thanks for info. hard ass sleeping rough not option for this girl –now all I have to do is invest in my own private massive tent, blow up mattress, ear plugs and baby wipes and i'll be sorted for EP!

Definetly bring ear plugs. I dont know what I did without them. Actually I do know.. it was not got a lot of sleep.

Yes, ear plugs are a good idea. I could have done with them at Oxegen that time someone was burping and snoring the whole night in the next tent and then refused to believe it ever happened. I forget his name, I think it was T. Oast. Or was it Toas T.? I can never remember. :D
