Not sure where to post this so I'll ask here?:D

    Base-to-Base-Long-Range-Cordless-Phone

The reason I ask is I have moved down the country but there is no phone line in place and won't be as Eircom are dragging their heels installing the overhead lines.
I live about 15km from my parents who have a second phone line and wanted to use that.

    Any thoughts or ideas?

They are niether legal nor secure (i.e. nothing to stop someone listening to your calls or even making calls on your bill)

    Absolutely illegal.

A wifi link with MMDS dishes won't make 15km either.

Thanks guys, I figured as much. Have to get eircom to get the finger out.

Mobile coverage is fairly rubbish too. Is there anything I can get or do to increase the mobile signal?
