BSOD on shutdown...

Need some help on this one...since my router trouble a month or so back I had been using a zyxel 630 USB modem, whilst waiting for a replacement router.
Now ever since I installed the drivers for the zyxel, I have been getting BSOD after windows shutdown...IRQ_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL and the hexcode and advising me that it's a driver/hardware issue.

So got my replacement from netgear yesterday, uninstalled the drivers for the zyxel, unplugged it from it's USB port and restarted...bamm, BSOD again. I've looked in device manager and the USB modem as not listed as a network adapter, the USB controllers don't list it either.
How do I get rid of this problem? I'm 100% positive that it's down to the zyxel drivers since nothing else has been added, either h/w or s/w, that coincided with the problems. But with drivers gone and hardware removed, shouldn't this fix itself?

Does additional software come with it (i.e. for controlling it - not just the barebone drivers)?
    Check msconfig ?

Aye the IOL/BT connection crap, and a UI that sits in the system tray.

I've checked device manager again and ticked the Show hidden devices tab and get this:
    zyxel2ak.gif

But when I right click any of the WAN miniport stuff or the zyxel miniport and try to uninstall the drivers I geta pop up telling me that windows can't perform this task as the device(s) may be needed for boot-up.

Only the first three items in that Netwrok Adapter list should be needed since I'm using an internet gateway.

Gah, this is wrecking my head...it was one thing putting up with it when I had to rely on the modem, but now that it's gone the BSOD persists.
I've tried reinstaling the drivers and uninstalling the exact specified way and nothing, tried disabling the drivers in the hidden list inside safe mode (still won't allow me to)...contemplated deleting anything in the registry with zyxel in the name (:D)...gonna try a registry cleaning app..anyone know a good one?
