Fifa 2006 - whats gone wrong?!

I've been playing fifa 2005 with my best mate for quite some time now. We play career mode every time we get some free time and have great games with some savage goals scored!

I know there is the classic battle of fifa verses pro evo, and ive always prefared fifa myself, but i think the tides have turned. Fifa 2006 imo is utter sh1t. Even with fast speed, and the game customised to our liking.

The players give up on the ball all the time, they dont run with the ball anymore. The other team does too much of this fancy foot work and its near impossible to get the ball off of a good player. Every single pass is intercepted that we make, every pass they make goes straight through. Every sliding tackle we make is not worth it, even when they are straight on with us, its useless. One on One against a player running right at you, then you go to slide tackle, he does a 180 as your 1/2 way through the tackle then the commentry says 'He got the player not the ball'. I mean cmon, what a heap of crap.

Has anyone else got the same opinion as me? What a waste of money imo. I am outraged and i grow ever agressive when i play, i am inches from lobbing the pad at the wall, and i am a very very patient gamer but this just takes the utter p1ss.

Ill still play it, but only to find out what other crap this game has inline for me.

Does anyone know if it is possible to play a 2 player career mode? Career mode is what i bought it for, i dont wanna play this on my own.

You can play 2 player career mode but you both have to be on the same team obviously. I got a lend of it off my cousin and played it for the first time tonight. I'm not really impressed either and I'm finding it very hard (on amateur setting) to score any goals. Never had problems with other footie games. Dunno. I'll play through career mode and give it back to my cousin

Pro evo is so much better and ea are just taking the piss! They have fifa 2006, fifa road to world cup, fifa world cup 06, fifa street, and they'll probably release a champions league game later in the year! I mean how many types of the same game can they expect you to buy!

EA = Elasticated Arts. The biggest piss take is that Fifa road to world cup, where you don't even play the world cup at teh end!!!

Seriously though anything from Fifa 95 has been absolute muck. cut your losses and get out and get a real game: Pro Evo.

Did it even class as a battle. Pro Evo came out and wiped the floor with fifa. My understanding of a battle is that there has to be two sides!
