Veneer Tops

So im currently building a custom 7-string, I have a body and most of the hardware and the neck should be here in a week or two. The body is basswood and kinda plain and on the Universal Jems site I found these veneers. Does anyone know what the story is with them with regards to installation and shaping? Can they be dyed (a lovely flamed green top mmmm)?

    Cheers.

You're better off getting some solid flamed maple on ebay, That veneer is really thin so you cant round the edges or shape the top at all without it looking shít. If you get a chip taken out of the front it'll tear right through the veneer.

Yeah it can be dyed but it'd be messy and you use evostik contact adhesive to attatch it. Evostick is horrible stuff altogether. Get about 6mm sheets of real timber to do a nice job on it.
