Help! I need to calibrate my meter and I was wondering if any of the Installers here have a Wolsey Lacuna meter? I think the number to enter is 227 under BER? Is this correct? I am not sure what to enter under SS!!!!

Any help is much appreciated as I have 5 jobs to do today!

    Thanks in advance,

    pgdavy

Or if all else fails adjust Dish for lowest BER / highest quality. The actual figure is really not important unless you suspect a faulty LNB or have to report BER & signal strength.

I have a Lacuna meter. Have never used the calibrated menu much. I think to access it's a case of holding down one of the buttons for a while. Alternatively, send to Armstrong Electronics to have it calibrated.

    Update:

Here is a PDF on how to calibrate...
    http://www.satmeter.com/documents/calibrating.pdf

This is the main site, for all things Lacuna..

    This should help a lot.

Cheers Byte and Watty. I eventually sorted it this morning by calling Triax in Wales. I solved the issue by calling to a house in Abbeyfeale and calibrating on a fixed dish with about 75%SS and 60%PQ. Quite easy in the end. I was in a bit of a pickle this morning with 4 jobs booked in without a working meter.

    Thanks again,

I think I might calibrate mine a bit better for Astra 1, as at the moment, it's pretty useless at picking that bird up. I have to use the spectrum analyser on the Promax meter to set a dish on that bird.
