i gave up the panel beating & went back to my last job installing & serviceing saunas, sunbeds, steamrooms& hottubs.:D
which i cover the whole of ireland, & am forever looking across hedges & in to garages. theres a few old cars lying around the place.
like today i was in killybegs & i seen a datsun 1200 in very good order with only a few tiny rust bubbles on it for sale. a two door fiat ritmo (83) in good nick, 4dr mark 2 cortina +triumph 2000. all for sale & not to badly gone either.
will keep ye posted if i see anything interesting.
its good to be back on the road, only bad point i get to drive a bloody transit all day.:(
still it will make me appricate my classics more:D

Speaking of Ritmos I saw one in a yard near Naas recently. It looked in OK nick and was one of the earlier types with the one piece front bumper/grille. I though all these cars turned to dust years ago!

    Interesting thread manta mad!

Always interesting to hear about old cars/classics from around the country.

I too am surprised to hear about a couple of Fiat Ritmos (and a datsun 1200) about the country ! ........I wonder if they are on original Irish plates?
