Back around the turn of the century, in the early years of the new millennium, there existed a game online that had no parallel. As far as browser based games went, this was the best there was. And the angels called it, mafia.org.

Thrust into the world of crime without a friend or a gun, the player would quickly join a crew, rob to make money, and experience the world of the 1940's Mafia, while hoping to become godfather.

A wonderful game, by and large, that consumed its player's lives like wildfire, and gave meaningless online time some life. Of course, all good things must come to an end. IzzyCreamcheese, an admin, owner and coder, decided to leave the game, and left it in the hands of the other owner. After a lengthy dispute, it was decided that Izzy's code could not be used without Izzy on the staff. The owner of the game, and his minions recoded the game.

They changed it, changed it horribly, and the beautiful world festered into a morass of pointless features and idiocy. The Mafia world awaited a hero, a hero like, Mario Laurino. He took it upon himself to recreate the game from memory and the few tattered remains it left, and cobble them together into something halfway decent. This is what you are playing now.

This game is only meant as a historical piece, a replica of something that once was. All credit for the games conception, creation, and image go to IzzyCreamcheese. Think of him as the god, and Mario Laurino as the prophet. All this being said, enjoy.
