This Thursday sees Troy Pierce - a confidant of the Inner Circle of
M_Nus M_nimal alongside Richie Hawtin, Marc Houle & Magda come to play
our club. Last time we had Magda play we were unfortunately 2 years
ahead of the fashionable zeitgeist and there was a quiet but vocal
turnout on the night. Now, with two summers of Ibiza under their belts
and Sven-knows-what under their tongues, we feel the time is right to
unleash another member of the circle on Dublin's minimalists.

Currently hotter than two weeks in Playa del Ingles this uber minimal
producer has quickly made a name for himself with a string of excellent
release on Minus, BPitch Control and Electric Avenue. Recently he has
completed a remix of Donnacha Costello's 'Bear Bounces Back' which will
soon be released on Minimise. His set at EC will be a fusion live
performance with some DJ elements similar to what Speedy J was doing
back in January but obviously not as hard and trés minimaltastic!

After being raised in the cornfields of Indiana and brought up on
Midwest house & techno (Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills, Derrick Carter,
D-Wynn), Troy became a bit jaded by ten years in New York where the
struggling minimal techno scene consisted of a handful of die-hard
fanatics going against the diva-tribal-teck-house of a city that has
seen it's day musically. Berlin seemed like the logical solution, go to
the source. Troy is 1/3 of Run.Stop.Restore - the collective which also
features Magda & Marc Houle. Troy was also the man with the plan behind
the Slacknoise release on M-Nus from last year. He featured under both
these guises on the scene-defining 'Minimize to Maximize' compilation on
M_Nus which was released to worldwide acclaim last year. We are very
excited to have Troy make his Irish debut here and he is all set to rock
the club like a m_nimal m_therf_cker following the great reports from
his minimal mates, Richie & Magda. Don't be too late for the trend, come
    and ride with us.

Playing before Troy, will be one of Irelands best techno producers
Donnacha Costello. DC last played EC when he got us out of a rather
large Alter Ego weasel-hole back in 2004. Since then he has gone on to
conquer the world with his powerful live show. Donnacha can now be heard
playing at the best clubs in Europe and Columbia but it's the German
clubbers & DJ's that have taken him most to their hearts - a show of
public emotion not seen since David Hasslehorf topped the German charts
    during the 80's.

Right Said Giles complete with dumb bells and bench press will be
warming up for Donnacha with some rigorous minimal workouts.

Ibiza's great. Was excellent years ago, gone downhill alot since then (last time there 2 years ago wasnt no were as good as the first). Check out who's playing before you go. Space opens from 7am, great DJ's - indoor and outdoor arenas. Pacha is were the local spaniards kinda go, music is good depending on whos playing.

It is expensive so bring plentya dosh! Bora Bora beach is great, we were staying in apts next door (jet apts) - across from Space, great place, party every night.

Es paradise is brilliant... have to check that out... water party at 5am.. Eden can be a bit heavy.

Bar M good to go to during day to listen to chill out musik... and of course you have to go to cafe del mar for the sunrise. You might just catch some world famous Dj's chilling there.
