Last Nights Trek

Myself and a few others went out to Clondalkin last night, started at the Dart station bridge, and went up by Howth. Unfortunatly, the last hour of the trek was much too dodgy to take photos at, between on of the girls getting a driveby egging, to a dodgy car pulling up beside us, trying to find out what were taking photos of...and following us with their lights off.

Got some alright photos. Not 100% pleased with any of them. Was using the 10-20mm lens, 30 second aperture on most shots, and either f/11 or f/6.3

Cool, I was on the other side of the water! I took some pics in Greystones/Bray last evening and a few back in Blackrock, but they miserably failed! Still have to go through editing though so maybe I can safe a view ;-).
I like pic 2, the clouds seem to run away from you! The truck seems to be out of focus unfortunately, the last pic is very nice as well.

First Impressions... Nice, Nothing overly amazing, but still quite nice!

Out of them all, I like the second last one the best, however I think it could have shot slightly better, but thats just going by what I can see of the surroundings. It's a pretty cool looking building.

The first one has some great colours. I'm not too sure about the truck photo.

    In general, decent set!

Cheers. The truck shot is out of focus, which I was really dissapointed with, loved the shot when I had it lined up in the darkness...

Would have loved to exclude more of the wall in number two. I didn't get much of it when taking.

It was my first chance to get long exposure landscapesque shots with the 10-20, and I had been dying to get some! Was quite pleased with it!

The last one is massive, you may want to resize it or exclude it, whatever you please. Nice colour photos! The second last is very nice! Good lighting!

Funny, that's exactly what I thought of when I saw your photo first :) I think the intensity of the colours that Paiva uses in his shots can be a little garish at times, but it's a great effect. Are you planning to get the coloured gels?

Nice shots, by the way - the first would be my fav.

I'd love to get the gels, but that'd involve getting a fairly decent flashlight too, be a big enough investment. I'm gonna go with some more of that style for a bit, and see what happens I guess! There's some great links on his site too.

There's a pedestrian bridge/tunnel over the M50 between Blanchardstown and Castleknock that I reckon would be good for a more basic shot of this type. It's completely filled with graffiti, which might look pretty good. Just don't go alone :)

That composition taken at night like Fajitas! photo would look good!

Yeah, It's the lighting that was nice! I liked the long lead lines in fajitas.

It is a very cool building, in fact all the huts and shelters on the seafront in Clontarf are great, a lovely cyan with lots of angles and curves. Must go back there some Sunday...

I like the angle Fajitas! has used. I was trying to mess with lots of exposure range to see how my camera's meter coped with it. Guess it needed to be overexposed a bit

Last time I was on the seafront the buildings smell of wee! :) Cool pics though

How's this for an idea - take yerself up to the Sally Gap with coloured gels and flashlights etc, and shoot the many abandoned wrecks along the road. Skies at dusk up there are great. That's the Irish version of LostAmerica... :p

Ah there's a few (safer) places back in Waterford I wanna try out first, before I go any further!
