i know this was bad but ive been thinking wnd wondering just how bad is it,
i played the hand it self as bad as it could have been played but the call at the end is what im asking:
16 ppl left in 15K on PPP
    stacks:
    me 65K
    villain 35K
    Hand:
    blinds 4K/8K
i limp UTG with KQh(shocking play)
its folded to BB who checks his option.
    pot: 20K
    flop : 2c Kc Ah
    BB checks
i bet 10K and BB goes all in for another 17K to me.
i really tought about folding and then some how i managed to convince my self that he would make the check raise move with a flush draw as well as a K with worse kicker than mine apart from any A.
    i called .
    comments please?

Personally, if I had got to the stage where I was facing this decision I would call due to coming to similiar conclusions about the oppo's hand range as you are getting ~3.5/1 for your 17k more.

Worst case scenario he has a pair of ducks for the set. Best case is a flush draw or worse King. His check/reaise looks like a big hand, maybe K2, which you are hating too.

There is no way you should be there though from start to finish, as you know, not with an open limp preflop anyhow.

Even if you folded the extra 17k, you would still have only 47k and on the BB for 8k, a move situation.

I call there, I would have raised or folded pre flop

Just for the record, I push preflop. Now that you've got here you are probably miles behind but sure you might as well call,:)

Gholi what was going on in your head when you Flat called the 8k, when the BB only had another 17K??

This re-raise is a must call. You know he has an A, but with these odds, you have no option. It's 7k to win a pot of 47k, and this is basically the correct odds to call. Seeing as I'd say about 95% of the time your up against the A here and in that case you're an 80:20 dog.

Assuming the table was 8 handed, your move was all in preflop or fold. Postflop I think you'll be up against a flush draw or will suck out on him often enough to be priced into calling.

He had 27k more. Still doesn't excuse flat calling preflop though. Fold or shove.

my pre flop limp was shocking as i said.i dont know what i was thinking.i would 99% of the time raise this and fold to a reriase.
this was one of thoes times when for some reason i decided to limp.
i considered pushing but then UTG and alot of others to act behind me and my hand was K high.
the reraise to me was another 17K not 7K as some one posted.
and thats what i was really wondeirng .i know my pre flop play was no good but i was wondering if the i should have folded to his reraise .
i think ppl think haing played the hand the way i did the call was not that bad and and as nicky said i would suck out enough times here to make the call ok.
    cheers for the replys.

I think this is the only play that is worse than limping.

Why not muck KQ UTG. Thats my preferred line.

With 8BBs I don't have a preferred line, I have one line and thats tanking it.

The villian has 4BB left, and an Ace (I assume). Do you really think there is any way you could have played this hand where all the money didn't go into the middle?

Folding preflop maybe, but who's gonna do that?
